Scottish Widows
Edinburgh
April 2004 - April 2005
Brought in to further develop Scottish Widows’ market-leading stochastic ALM, I was also heavily involved in running MoSes in Scottish Widows' production environment for Financial Condition Reporting, Individual Capital Assessment, and projected Realistic Balance Sheet reporting.
I also spent time reviewing development work - including that of other external consultants - as well as providing bespoke training sessions.
Major achievements included:
Development model optimised for speed - runtimes reduced by 80%;
Bespoke software developed to provide centralised configuration and control of remote Worker PCs;
Speed and memory optimisation of reporting spreadsheets;
Further bespoke applications created for control and monitoring of all aspects of the production process.
